Stay in compliance with current training requirements for newly-hired RCFE direct care staff who are unlicensed or not Certified Medical Assistants (CNA’s).
Administrators must complete at least four (4) hours, live and/or online, of Laws, Regulations, Policies, and Procedures Standards required to renew for all Programs.
At least eight (8) hours, live and/or online, of Managing Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias required to renew for RCFE's.”
Beginning April 1, 2022, RCFE Administrators will need to resume completing a minimum of 20 hours of in-person continuing education training to renew their administrator certificates. While the waiver is in effect, Administrators may meet the 40 hours of continuing education requirement through the completion of Department-approved online courses and/or Department-approved live trainings, including those that are being offered via live-stream.
Administrators can opt to complete all 40 hours of continuing education training online. All other recertification requirements will be enforced.
